Storms

I’m writing this on Tuesday evening because today has really been a super day and I’m really enthused. The weather forecast for Wednesday is a chance for some severe storms. We’ve talked about this many times…if you have the faith and you can truly believe, don’t just accept what the devil throws at you. Rain is good. The earth needs rain. Storms however, can kill, steal and destroy. So step out in faith and speak to the storm. Tell it to go away. Tell it to cease. Tell it to be still. That’s exactly what Jesus did. Didn’t He tell us greater works we will do? Don’t do this half-heartedly. Do it believing! You have the same authority as Jesus.

Be it a storm that comes out of the clouds or a storm that comes from a dirty stinking virus, speak to it. Take authority over it and you’ll be amazed at how your words have power. In Mark 4, the story of the storm takes place when the disciples are on the water. They wake up Jesus and say they’re about to drown. Then in verses 39 & 40 it says, “He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace be still” and the wind ceased and there was a great calm. In verse 40, He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”

Church, it’s time we became the real church of Jesus. Let’s demonstrate the power of God in all things. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us. Romans 8:11.

Remember, we live by faith and not by sight.
