Solemn Assembly Devotional Day 1
How important is it to reach out? What happens when God reaches out to us? In truth, there is never a time when God is not reaching out to us!
Mark 1:41 Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" Matthew 14:31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?" Peter responded to the call of Jesus to come; however, Peter took his eyes off Jesus and looked at the circumstances which caused him to start sinking and he called out... "Lord save me”. Was not Peter reaching out to the Lord? Psalms 18:16-17 He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. Reflection and Prayer: Today, know that Jesus is reaching out to you. He is willing and will take hold of you; He will rescue you and He has already overcome the enemy. By faith appropriate that victory and reach and share that victory with those around you. Pray that Lifegate Church and your family will reach out with the love of Jesus Christ to the lost and hurting of our community. |
